This new 8-track (ish) portable recorder looks rather interesting.

1. Anyone used one in anger - any good? Also it is unclear from the manual whether the midi sync capability operates whilst recording - this would be extremely interesting!

2. Given that cost in the USA is $300 ish, when it's at least 300 pounds sterling in the UK I'm trying to see if a friend could get one the next time he's in the States... so can anyone suggest a music store in or near Gaithesberg who would have this item in stock at a reasonable price?
