I love it, but it's not possible to set up the "next" tune unless the playlist is in order already. It's a great product, and if you're not "really" doing a DY type show ... it'll play oodles of tunes for you on demand. Great sound, great video, and amazing software.

I have looked at other mp3 players, but the iPod is what I like the best. In my family we have 3 of them. The newest iPod with video is great. Not only do I use it during breaks at gigs. But I also download podcasts on video for my 1.5 hour daily commute to the office.

besides music...can you watch full lenght movies videos/mpeg also? or what?

Hmmmmmmmmm. Its probably better to just get a cheap NEW Laptop and keep it in the car just in case for not much more..........it can do SO much more as a backup unit. Plus show lyrics, charts, if needed etc, etc ........

You can watch any downloadable video avaliable from a number of sources. Not sure about full length movies, the only thing I've ever seen for download is movie trailers. My interest is in the tech field and new product developments. So thru the iTunes store I download free tech video podcasts. There is also avaliable( never have downloaded them) are TV shows. They are avaiable the day after they appear on live TV for $1.99. I don't believe all network shows are available. There's also some short films you can download. Check out the web site

Yea, you're on to a good point. You can just also download the iTunes program got your laptop and get all the content that's at the itunes store. You just wouldn't have the ipod to display them on but with the laptop you don't really need to. About the only thing you lose is the portability of the iPod.

the only advantage the iPOD has for a backup is its size. do they have a 60 GB without the video feature?
