Hi everybody...I am looking for vocal harmonizer..I have 9000pro..But I don't like it's harmonizer..Doesn't sound natural enough...

I use AKG c585 condenser mic..

I only need something for live use..
Is this vocalist ex any good..I know about voice prizm, but it's too much for me...I only need harmony...

Does anyone know about this...
perhaps Uncle Dave,or somebody else..

thanks..

MIKI

Mirza,
In the next 2 months tc helicon is coming out with 2 new versions of harmonizers....the Quintet and Voice One nd I think they are both less than the prism. http://www.tc-helicon.tc/

Hi Miki,

It's a good vocalizer for live work, but like most the sounds are not 100 percent humanized. I tested it using an Audio-technica Pro-8HEx hypercardioid, dynamic, headset microphone and achieved good results. I can honestly say that most of the vocalizers I tested, which was 8 of them, are best suited for someone with a mid range, powerful voice. I have a relatively deep, soft voice and had to go with the Digitech VR in order to achieve the results I wanted.

Good Luck,

Gary

Miki ..... I've got the digitech vocalist worstation ex ... it's not a rack mount unit ... it is easy to use, has some pretty good preset harmonies, lightweight etc. I use a sennheiser e845 mic....
I use the presets, and my wife, who is my most honest critic, says it sounds really good as long as I don't overuse it ...
I got mine off e-bay and there are a number of different models, including rack mount if you prefer, on there right now .... Check into the different models to find out how old they are, functions, etc.
Good luck .....
t.
PS Go to the e-bay site and do a search on 'digitech vocalist'.

Hi guys..Thanks for reply...

What I need is..I usually use harmony like..third above,belove..And somethimes lead and bass///That's all I use for harmony.

Will I be able to use them with condenser mic...

Are these from digitech better sounding then one on Yamaha 9000pro..

Take care..

In my humble opinion, I believe the built-in vocalizers are marginal at best. Terry prefers the tc helicon products, while Uncle Dave and I seem to lean more toward Digitechs, but both are superior to what I've heard coming from keyboard's processors--even those that were tuned.

Yes, they will work with a condenser mic as well, but you may need an adapter if the mic comes with a standard, 1/4-inch phone jack. The adapters are available at most music stores and Radio Shack for about $10.

Good Luck,

Gary

I'm not certain if the Digitechs have phantom power necessary for most condenser mics. You will want to check that out.

No can do - on the condenser mics with Digitech EX. No phantom power, but the Prysm has it, and the new model is MORE money Terry. I saw $1295 on the voice one already.
The TC is still the best sounding unit, but the digitechs are fine for live use.
The effects are really what separates the two. The TC has a stellar processor in it, and great EQ too. Phantom power, individual gender, pan, level, pitch, volume .... etc, etc, etc ......
