Got this song in my head, but can't for the life of me recall a title or performer.

Its a slow rock ballad...not edgy at all...

Probably from the 80's I'd guess...

Sounds an awful lot like an Eagles tune or one of their solo thngs...

The song starts with a sweet sax...

The chorus has a lyric something like:

"Are you going home with the one who wants you or are you gonna stay with the one who cares?"

Any help is appreciated...

Thanks -

Bill, it is an Eagles song, The One Who Loves You. I have lyrics and a decent (not great) midi if you want. Email me.

Great song for Live Sax and Alto Sax solos. It's in the key of G. Solo pick up starts with a D - d,e,g,a,b

Cmaj7, G, Cmaj7, Gmaj7, Cmaj 7, G, (Cmaj7-Am), G

Eagles? Close - I think it was from a Glenn Frey solo album 'bout 1985?

I use regular 8beat around 76-78, with some organ with slow leslie in the back ground accompaniement, and comping with Rhoodes sound on the right hand, and of course the sax sound. That seems to work for me.

If some other pattern works better for you guys, please let me know, so I can try new thing.

Thanks again-

I use a Joe Waters style, 8Bt-Warmjw, at about 80 bpm. I find that variations 3 and 4 are best.
