in 1947 when "That's My Desire" hit the streets we used to sing it to our girlfriends constantly as we were all in high school and that is all really wanted to do was "To Spend One Night With You, In Our Old Rondevous"
Frankie Lane was very popular in those days with our crowd.

Thanks for the link Bill
Wow, the great Frankie Laine lived into his 90's and even gave a performance less than 2 years ago. That's longevity at its best, when your faculties are still with you and you still have an audience who loves you.
Frankie featured strongly in the songs of my young days. Come to think of it, he was up there with the likes of Sinatra and that's saying everything.
Yes, it is alwys sad to hear of your heros leaving us but the memories are still intact.
cheers
Eddie Johnson

Coincidentally,
I just came across a video clip recently of Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers 1st appearance on tv performing "Why to folls fall in love".
The video clip was from Frankie Lanes television show and included a short interview between The two Frankies...
Very cool clip,
I'll see if I can figure out how to post it.
