I have the Tyros more than a week now, I like it, I'm enjoying it.

My problem: Registration editing & saving
1-I creat the first bank.
2-Then name the bank, TYROS 7.
3-Save it on the user and Floppy
4-I start the new bank
5-Insert the name, New York
6-When I push th panel button, registration bank I see TYROS 7, and the knew bank,
New York
7-If I press TYROS 7, and then edit, I can see the eight different memories areas and their names.
8-When I press New York, I can see New York at the left bottom of the page near P1

Here comes my Problem
9-When I press edit, where New york was at the bottom left, TYORS appears. Any editing I do occurs on both banks. It changes New York and TYROS 7.

I know I must be missing a step, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, John C.

Hi John C (Bruno123),

I'm not completely clear about your explaination re your Reg problems on your Tyros. The Tyros Registration Bank setup works exactly the same way it works on the PSR2000/2100.

It sounds like you're saying that when you call up and edit the individual (8) reg names on the "New York" Reg Bank File, that it mistakenly edits the "Tyros 7" Reg file as well. Are you calling up the Reg Bank files from the Tyros 'USER' area or from floppy disk? I recommend calling up the REG file to be edited from where its stored in the USER area, as all edited Reg Bank file must FIRST be stored in the Tyros' USER area, before it can be subsequently copyed (stored) to floppy disk.

Also interesting to hear you say that the Reg Bank names: "Tyros 7" or "New York" appear at the bottom left of the display screen next to P1. On my Tyros & PSR2000, only the folder name (REGIST) appears here. This is the folder where the Tyros automatically stores 'user area' registration files. You can subsequently create sub folders within this folder if you wish as well.

Hopefully you might provide more details so we might possibly offer better assistance. Good luck.

Scott

The reason he is seing Tyros or New York at the bottom by page 1 is because he has created a folder within the folder. One of the steps I see you left out in your posting is how you saved the second bank of 8 registrations you call "new york". After you have saved the first bank and you create a second bank, you must make sure you save this bank either in the root directory or in a new folder. It seems to me you have not created a new folder before you saved the first bank. You don't have to do this, but it might be better for you. Just like a PC you can have folders inside of other folders. Sometimes on the Tyros and PSR2000 this can be confusing until you understand the structure. I'm not sure you actually saved the second group of 8 registrations in a seperate folder. See if you can check what I have just explained. A folder can be called "New York" but you might not have actually put any registrations in this folder.
