I own a Roland G70 and a Yamaha Tyros2 and thought it might be beneficial to post some recordings of the same song recorded on both keyboards. The following song
“Under Paris Skies” was recorded on the Tyros using the French Musette style. It was recorded on the G70 using the French Valse style. The melody was recorded with an acoustic accordion. If you would like, I will post a few songs recorded on both keyboards using similar styles.

thanks for the work!
go on and record some more songs, we surely will enjoy listening!
could you record some funk/soul songs? i am quite curious how this is handled by g70 and t2, since korg probably has the best such styles.
best to you!

Hi Jim

Enjoyed your accordian work,it was a great idea to compare the 2. The backround styles sounded about the same to me.

To me this shows well how the Tyros 2 3/4 rhythms have become much more um-pah-pah than they were. I love my Tyros 2 but the G70 style was much preferable to me.

Fortunately I kept my Tyros 1 styles and use the 3/4 ones more than the new Tyros 2 versions.

Jim they both sound great...........mostly because of the "real" accordion..Nice job..

As we older accordion players know..you can do a nice job with just the accordion..

Nice comparison. The styles do sound very similar although being used to the T2 I found the guitar parts and drums of the T2 style slightly more upfront than the G70's.
Nothing wrong with either of them though, the G70 style was nice and the accordion was great to hear.
* Not all of the waltz 3/4 styles sound like a German oomph pa pa, there's plenty of variation internally and on the net.
