Okay, I am perplexed! I donwloaded some Christmas songs onto my 2K and have been able to edit them somewhat, but how do I do some serious editing such as: editing out endings so that I can end the song sooner, easily change chords or add verses to a song.

My guess so far is to use the song creator portion and work with each individual channel, but is there a better, faster, easier way??

I suggest you get yourself a good editing program like SONAR or POWER TRACS.

I'm with Donny. PC/Mac software is the way to go. I only use the onboard sequence edit stuff to do emergency remix, revoice, or effect edit operations!

I use the keyboard for my sequencing and edits. It is faster and detailed to play on my keyboard{G1000}. By the time you guys boot up and prepair Sonar, I am finished and heading out to breakfast..Matter of fact..I am going to breakfast now...See you later..Don't forget to turn your computer off when [if] you are done...

PSR2K Song Creater (Sequencer) is a JOKE!

Don't use it to record or edit, just use it to play back.

I just spent a little time with the PSR2100 sequencer...If you use this keyboard, get your Sonar up and running. It appears the sequencer can record 3 tracks[all 16 channels], it is designed to utilize accomp/styles to record multi channels. It is possible to go into song creator to make edits on any channel, but we can only record in 3recording tracks..I would have to agree with others , this is just a scratch pad sequencer...I am curious, is this the same on the Tyros?

Yes it's the same in PSR2000, 2100, 9000 and 9000 Pro, Tyros...
you can't even record/edit two tracks...
try this.... record track 1 with piano, do all the settings... etc.. then record track 2 with bass... now there is no way of going back to track 1 with the same sound you had on track 1... if you start recording on track 1, you will be recording in bass sound..

Fran... I have to admit the Roland G1000 had an awesome sequencer & the editing capabilities are by far superior to most arranger kb on the market today...
I miss using it for my SMF songs. It as just so easy to navagate and made sense using it. maybe rolands next AR/KB offering will hold some goodies for us all also? Hmmmmmm?
