Any reason why a midi file will play only the drum section on the psr1000 and will play the full thing on the psr9000???
I am in search of an explanation..
Note: The midi files that play the drum section only have been transposed on my computer, using Cakewalk 9.0..The original version would play fine on the psr1000..
Thanks Yamaha experts.
George

hi George

i dont think the PSR1000 reads the sysex from the floppy drive? and when you transposed did you transpose every chanel exept 10 ?

if you still have the original try using the PSR1000's internal sequencer to transpose ?

good luck
Simon

Yes I did Simon,,I changed every channel except #10,, I dont have my originals any more, so I am looking for a solution other than changing the tunes on the psr1000,
This what happens when I load the song, I go to the midi channals and see that it did not select any sounds and all the volumes are at 100,,if I selct a voice for that channel that is indicating that has data on it,, the chanel will play that instrument. Thanks.

It sounds like the midifile is attempting to choose voices which arent available on the PSR1000. What voices are on the missing tracks when you play it on the 9000? Its quite possible there are bank change messages in place which though select voices on the 9000, select empty voices on the psr1000. Can you send me the midifile?

Simon
