Hi, folks! I wanna buy a new mixer for mixing both AUX outputs of my PSR-3000 and Korg PA-50 and connecting main output to Logitech z-5500 but I'm still thinking about the mixer type. I know that Behringer's devices are good and low priced. But there are three mixer series that I'm interested in - the UB-802,MX-602A and XENYX 802.My requirement is that i wan't ultra low noise performance without getting noise when feeding through mixer and what is the sound difference between UB,MX and XENYX series mixers?
Is there anybody who has got some experiences with both or at least with one of them?

Any suggestion desired! Thanks in advance!!!

SUNNY.

I have used the Eurorack MX-602A for the past five years, and have been very happy with it. I did finally "outgrow" it (as too my PSR550 and Radio Shack amp), and recently bought a Behringer Eurorack Pro RX1202FX and Europower EP1500 amp to use with my Tyros 2.

I also have a couple of Behringer mics, a pair of Truth B2031A active monitors, and the Truth B2092A active subwoofer. I'm a real believer in Behringer products, and am proud to admit it. A lot of Bang for the Buck!

If you have specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them if I can.

Regarding my experience with the MX-602A, the claim of ultra-low noise is true. There were times, though, that I wished I had more inputs. I believe I satisfied that need with the RX1202FX.

Charles

Sunny,
the newest series of Behringer mixers are called Xenyx because they have the highest quality mic pre's of any behringer model. All the new low end series feature these preamps along with British EQ. My most popular models are the Xenyx 802, Xenyx 1002FX or the Xenyx 1202 FX. These models range from $59 to $109. The FX models include 99 24 bit effects.

Hi Charles&George,
What is the difference between MX-602A and UB-802? and which mixer either MX-602A ,UB-802,XENIX 802 sounds good for the keyboard AUX outputs?

Sunny

I suspect any of the three would be adequate for the requirements you've stated. As George indicated, the Xenyx series is newer, and uses somewhat higher quality components.

If you're settled on purchasing one of the three models you mentioned, then I suggest you go to Behringer's website, print the manuals, and spend a bit of time comparing features and specifications for yourself. I think you'll discover that the differences between the three models aren't worth agonizing over. Trust your instincts, and make a decision.

I do suggest, though, that you consider whether you might want a model that offers a few more inputs.

I'm running a PSR3000 through a UB1002 into a UB1222FX out to PA. I don't hear any noise being introduced by the stereo channels. I can hear some hiss out of the Mic channels with everything up full but with a microphone attached you into screaming instant feedback. At normal gain levels the mic pre-amps are very quite.

Sunny,

If you use the line out from the PSR-3000 (RCA plugs) and the same output from the PA-50, and fire them through the LINE IN on the mixer, then connect the Z-5500 to the mixer's standard output you should have no problems at all and the noise level should be minimal. I tried this using a pair of 3000s fed through my Alesis Multimix 6FX and it worked just fine. I believe the Behringers are very similar.

Good Luck,

Gary
