Am trying to set up Logic Audio environment pages to control a TR-Rack, but having difficulty finding the Sysex control messages, in particular to configure the synth in 'Multi' mode. The user manuals are absolutely no help. How can I set up the Insert FX parameters from Logic? The only way round the problem at the moment is to work in a combi, but this limits me to 8 tracks only. Any Sysexers out there with some thoughts/advice?

Having faced similar problems in the past, I hope this helps:
Set the sequence recording device (logic prog.) to receive sysex data. Manualy change effects parameters from your tr rack. As the parameters change, you should see different sysex info being displayed. You may need to write the info down for use later.
As for the milti set-up stuff, just assign midi controlers for bank & program numbers for each midi channel to be used.

I'd like to add smth to previous posts. Writing down the sysex messages and trying then to read and understand theyr codes is the shortest way to crash your brain, be careful of your head! The way I do: operating with front panel buttons lets me colour my multi-sequence with number of ins and master effects, adjust them, group the tracks etc. Then I tell my sequencer to receive the sysex and then dump the sysex data from Tr-Rack with just pressing a button on the front panel. The received data is saving then as an auto-send Sysex bank into the midi (wrk etc.)file. I tried to edit multi-configurations using some PC-editors like SoundDiver, but I've found IMHO that it's rather useful for program editing than for multi's. Repeating, the Tr-Rack provides easier way to edit multi configurations using its front panel buttons and dumping and saving then sysex-data into sequence-file. There is no need to analize any sysex hieroglyphics. Good luck!
