I've noticed quite a few people comment on the size of the Tyros. It seems that many question why Yamaha made the body as wide as they did.. I personally agree that there was no need for the FD holder on the right side and eliminating that would have brought the length down a bit, but I disagree with those about the width of the keyboard.. I was at a UK site today and they had a really nice side view "angled" picture of the Tyros, and from what I can see the width of the keyboard is based on the display itself.. Yamaha added a great color monitor to this keyboard, and have bottons on all sides.. It seems that to keep the screen and access to the buttons reasonable in size and convience that the keyboard needs to be a little wider in size. Just my opinion though...

And I actually like a place to put my floppies rather than laying them on the face of the board somewhere. I find the holder a convience rather than wasted space.
