At NAMM this year I went over to the Yorkville booth. I had been told by many of you that these are really good keyboard amps. I've been selling Roland, Peavey, Barbetta for many years and I'm always looking for good products to offer my customers. After meeting with the sales rep for California and the sales manager from Canada, they offered to send me out two keyboard amps and 3 electric acoustic guitar amps. They arrived today and I'm very happy with them. I did an A/B with the K200 vs the roland KC500 and the Yorkville was so much better. Better high frequency, much more bass and it had much more power then the roland. The Roland sounded a bit like it was breaking up at medium to high levels and the Yorkville just kept getting louder. The Yorkville has a retail price of $699.00 and the Roland has a retail price of $799.00. Also, Yorkville has a 2 year transferable warranty and Roland has a 1 year. The Yorkville also has 2 XLR mic inputs where the Roland has 1 XLR input. Both feature 15" speakers.
I then compared the Yorkville K100 with a 12" speaker at a retail price of $579.00 and compared it to the Roland KC300, the Peavey KC100 and the Barbetta 22C and again I liked the Yorkville better.
If the quality is as good as the sound, I'm sure I'll be selling lots of these in the future.
By the way, Ketron was using all Yorkville amps at their booth at NAMM and they recommend these amps to their customers.

Ketron keyboards were going through powered monitors, however Aldo was playing his Solton Accordian through a Yorkville keyboard amp and the statement from both Lou and Aldo was that they recommend Yorkville Keyboard Amps to customers who ask for their advice.

Yes but the Yorkvilles are all MONO keyboard amps. How many mono keyboards do you sell these days? For the same price as the Yorkville K200 you can get a Motion Sound KP-200s which is 200 watts in stereo. I don't know why mono amps are being pushed for stereo keyboards...

George...
We've been using Yorkvilles up here in Canuck land for years. They're built like a brick sh*thouse and sound terrific. Glad you got to hear them.
You get around the mono/stereo ? by using the Yorkville P.A.'s

The Motion Sound amps come with a spatial expander. I've heard that they have an uncanny effect of making it seem like the speakers are farther apart. Without the expander, the speakers are tilted at what appears to be a 25 degree angle from eachother, and I heard that the stereo signal is pretty good without the expander.

I purchased the Motion Sound KP-100S, two 8 inch speakers and 50 watts per channel. It's coming out in April. I will give a review of it when I get it. The KP-200S, two 10" speakers and 100 watts per channel, got a great review in February's keyboard magazine.
