Gang-

Started playing this morning at a function and found a background distortion audible from my harmonizer. (Digitech Vocalist Access)

*It does not do it when the harmonizer is in bypass mode.

* I changed mic cables...no effect on trouble...

*I changed mics...no effect on trouble...

*I also changed patch chords...again no effect on the trouble...

...I plugged the unit into a different stereo channel on my mixer and it seemed to go away, but as I played, it returned.

So...

Is it indeed the harmonizer or possibly the amp itself?

The Tyros sounds great through the other stereo channel, and I find it hard to believe that 2 separate stereo channels could go bad on my amp at the same time...

Very worse possible time of my year for this to go down. Local repair shop will likely need a week to 10 days to assess the problem. They do not have a "RUSH" service available.

Perhaps its time to purchase a new harmonizer that might be free of the problems that the Access has had recently.

Any ideas or suggestions, comments on a recommendable replacement unit would be appreciated.

I prefer to stay under $700 if possible...

Thanks as always...

Don-

I'm not familiar with that model at all. How does it compare to the Vocalist Access I've been using.

Any links I coudl review?

I am very interested in learning more about this unit...

It's a great unit. I just don't need it.

I think its the newer, updated version of the Access...

Exactly what comes with this unit? Does it include a footpedal? Manuals?

How do you wish to proceed?

(FYI-I'm heading out very soon...I'll be back later this evening from my gig...If I miss your response, I'll follow up promptly)

Also, we may want to take this to an email form...

(corfieldb@aol.com)

Your timing couldn't be more perfect, it seems!
