I have a UNIVOX K-3 MAXI KORG which was later released as a 800DV . And I also have a UNIVOX MICRO RHYTHMER 12 which sounds a little like a KR-55. I'd like to hear from some people who have older KORG products.

Hi!

I've got a MiniKorg 700S at home at the moment. A friend of mine owns it but he doesn't really use it so I have had the pleasure of tweaking the knobs over two months now.
This Mini was manufactured in 1974 so it's a true monophonic analog devil with its few sliders and knobs. The shitty thing is that I'm a "midiman" so I guess I really have to learn to play the keyboard with my own fingers and not just program the PC sequencer... It sounds great, just what you might expect from an old analog synth. Think something like 303 and Moog and the others and mix them -> there's MiniKorg 700S. (? Well, I've never seen any kinda Moog but I've heard quite a lot of samples)

Big heil to good old analog sounds!

I also had a mini-korg , I wish I still did. I don't use MIDI , it's sloppy and I don't like do-everything multi timbral machines. Nothing can replace the user interface with knobs , slidders , keyboard , and switches. I do have a KORG DSS-1 sampler , it also allows you to draw your own waveforms. I also use REBIRTH 338 . But I still hate MIDI !!
