Travelling on the net, I have seen a reality: There is a group of PSR users in which hundreds of styles are of free downloading, so much new as converted from other kbs. However, it is not so easy to find free styles for Roland or Technics (new or converted from other keyboards); usually they are few styles and not free.

Probably, there are more PSR users than Roland or Technics ones, but ¿why does Roland or Technics users group not exist in a similar way of Yahoo-Yamaha-Psr-styles group (so, having free styles converted from all keyboards)?. Perhaps...:

- Does Roland or Technics not permit to offer styles free for their keyboards? Are there problems of rights or registration, that they aren't with styles for PSRs?

- Perhaps to convert styles to Roland or Technics format is more dificult than to Yamaha format?

- Perhaps Yamaha users are more "social" persons, and they like more to share things (styles) with other users? Perhaps Roland or Technics users are more "individual" ones?

Thanks, Gunnar J.

Your site is very nice, great work.

How many styles has it now? do you know?
Are the best Roland and Solton styles converted there?

Congratulations again, specially because you are not a prof. musician, but a home player (as me).

Cheers

Thanks, Gunnar and Dreamer. I have seen the pages you mentioned for Roland and Technics users, but they are very different in relation with yahoo PSR group. I can't see similar users exchange or share, styles of ALL keyboards converted for Roland or Technics, styles manufactured by users...

So, my questions remains in the air:
-Is more dificult to convert or to manufacture styles for those formats?
-Are Roland or Technics users more individual persons (they don't like to share so much)??
-Or perhaps, something easier: Are PSR users a lot of persons and Roland or Technics users are a few?

1. No, by use of the right software, it is not.
2. Maybe they are.......
3. ....but the most likely answer is maybe that
most of the Technics and Roland users play the
instruments rather than use the time to surf
the internet
We are probably fewer than all the Yamaha users,
but better to be among the quality group rather
than the quantity group

No, to be serious (as I am all the time), I
don't know for sure.
But you'll still find almost everything worth
convert at my pages if you look close enough
around.
The Technics users know how to find it....

The PSR groups were started almost two years ago by Bob Gelman, who was a regular contributer to this group and the now-defunct Yamaha forum. It was mainly through Bob's efforts to get the ball rolling and keep everything running smoothly that the PSR groups became as large as they are. Earlier this year they became part of the Yahoo "family", but Bob is still the administrator.
I shamelessly boast of having the very first song posted on the Songs group.

Artaher.
Technics users do share files too, but more
changing files by e-mail as i.e. announced at
www.technote.com forums.

Aslo Roland have some good sites around, i.e.
http://users.pandora.be/RKCA/engels.htm who is
a personal managed Roland Club.
