There's something wrong with sysex dumping from my PC(&cakewalk) to 01/Wfd. I can send and receive Korg's own programs and combis but when I try dumping patches I've downloaded from the net, Korg just says Error: exclusive dumping... I've tried dozens of .syx files but none works properly. Sometimes I get prog A01 sound to work but the rest is just a mess. I've been trying to solve this problem with different programs and configurations but always get the same error. I'd be very pleased to get any help. I've spent too many days with this problem.

Of course they _supposed_ to be 01/W -patches. I downloaded them from sites found in Synthzone's Korg section. If you have a patch you _know_ is working, I'd like to have it to test my system.

I'm not using an 01W but I've never had any problems with sysex and Cakewalk. Do you have Korg set to receive? It sounds like a setup problem of somekind.

I was just thinking. You can download your patches from your Korg to Cakewalk. You know these patches work. Then try sending them back to the Korg. If you get a error message then you know you are doing something wrong.

I have successfully downloaded factory patches from Korg to PC and then back to Korg. (I've changed these patches to make sure that something is really going in and out.) I have no problems with these, but I haven't found any working patches from the net. If someone knows patches, which are working, I'd like to test them. Thanks.

Sounds like things are working. When you go to an 01W site (this is a really dumb question) they usually send files .zip. Do you unzip them before loading them in Cakewalk? As long as they are 01W sounds this is the only thing I can think of...sorry.

Heh.. yeah, I always use .zip files as they are... Dumb answer was that really. I've been with comps almost 15 years(started about 7 years old)... I just need one .syx file that I know is working with 01/Wfd to test is there something wrong with my synthesizer.

See....I said it was a dumb question. I saw an 01W site at SZ that have around 50 banks. It has an Indian or Pakestan sounding name. I've told alot of people about it and no one has complained about them not loading.
