I have become very aware that not everyone has DSL/Cable, and am making quite an effort to make my site easy for all to enjoy and get around quickly.

If you have a slower computer would you please test the load time for my Calendar.

I have 2 listed. One is in Pink and is in the center of the screen as the page comes up.

The second, just scroll down a little and you'll see my other calendar link in smaller letters and it says 'Calendar Test.'

If you could clock these for me and give me your results I would very much appreciate it.

By the way, is one easier to read than the other? Does one have more eye appeal than the other?

Thank you for your consideration.

Scott: Nice website. Now, about the test. The Pink center Calendar Icon never fully loaded and took more than 15 seconds. The smaller "Icon" loaded in 12 seconds. I use AOL and my internet PC is an old AMD K6 and a 56K modem. The calendar on the smaller icon came up just like you would want it to and was easy to review. Too bad I can't give you feedback on the first calendar icon.

Thanks for keeping us "plodders" in mind. One of these days I'm gonna' break down and get high speed cable. (Maybe after we get a song or two published!) All the best. RICE

Scott, both calander pages loaded for me in roughly the same time, about 4-5 seconds. That was with a 45.3k connection on a 266MHz PentiumII. I don't have a preference for either format, but that might change if some event info was listed.

Scott,

It took about 6 seconds for the home page to load at 32,000 and about 8 seconds for the calendar page.

Hey Gary

Actually there are two calendar links to try.

There's also one down the page a bit.

Thanx

If it can work on 32 it can work on anybody's, eh Gary? lol

Both loaded quick enough although not instantaneously. I didn't clock it, but the "loading meter" on the bootom line of the browser was filling up rather nicely.
maybe 7 seconds. both were good I would prefer the first one.
