Hi all,
Seeking advice about recorders. Which product does anyone have success with that includes the built in burner:
1. Korg D-1200/1600 w/built ins
2. Roland 1824 or 890 w/stand alone (I didn't like the 1180cd)
3. Zoom 1266cd
4. Fostex stuff
There is quite a price difference between these brands. Not a professional, home/hobby use but seeking something user friendly and quality sounding. Only need an 8 track - just me. Hope everyone is doing well.
Thanks for any tips,
Zuki

I use a ZOOM 1044cd and it is awesome for recording. Has great EFX, CD burner, and easy manual. Best part you can get them for a steal on Ebay since the newer 1066cd came out. Not much change. I did most of my demos on my website with this unit...

Forgot to mention.. If you want 8 tracks you should look at the Fostex MR-8... It's only $299

I'm looking at the Fostex 8 track, but it seems some are discontent because they don't get enough time on the 128 card that comes with the unit. They're all buying 256MB and 512MB cards. The 256MB is around $70 the 512MB is $100 to $150. Other than that they seem happy.

Some also complain about the effects on all of the models. But it seems they play guitar and looking for guitar effects. With a keyboard, since the effects are built in, that shouldn't be a problem. And I would assume the reverb would suffice for vocals.
