I have two JBL self-powered 10’s and a Logitech x2300
And a Tyros 2.

Mostly for home use – possible some small venues.
I realize that your answers will be subject to your own personal opinions. The Logitech z2300 is nice, but I am looking for a better quality sound.

1-Would a pair of Mackie self-powered 10’s be better then my JBL 10’s? How much better?
2-Would one Mackie 12” be better, and how much better?

A while back I read about the Tyros needing stereo amplification in order to have a good sound. I also read that fi you take A and B outs form the keyboard and plug them into a single (not stereo) amp you get almost the same results.

All opinions will be appreciated, John C.

The Mackie 350's are amazing speakers in a small scenario for easy listening 50-100 pp... you would need a small sub to get some more bottom end for dance music........

The 450's can be very very proficient and my choice for most medium size gigs 100-250 pp excellent clean power & ample bass....
& if you add a Mackie Sub to them
WATCH OUT!!!! I love em they wont let you down!

Donny is right!

I have been using 2 Mackie 450's since a couple of years, and they kick ass.

Very clean and powerful sound.

They do sound great. They are also expensive and heavy. I think the Sona Barbettas sound better and weigh WAY less. They are expensive also.
