Yammie guys, what Tyros style would you recommend for Paul Simons "Cecilia"?

Hi Tom,

I found either GypsyPop or BritPopSwing work adequately for Cecilia, especially GypsyPop.

Both have a tempo of 110 which is right around the tempo of the original song I believe.

PS: Do I qualify as a Yammie Guy? Or are you shooting for the moon and wanting Steve Deming or some other Yamaha honcho to answer your query? Because if you did you're probably in for a rather long wait.

Btw, I do own a Tyros as you know. At least I hope you know. So that gives me at least a little leverage to answer your question.

Best regards,
Mike

Mike,

If you own a Tyros you are an elite Yammie Guy! Thank you for the reply. I'll definitely try your suggestions. I never would have thought of GypsyPop. Thanks!

Mike,

Where do you find GypsyPop? I can't find it on my Tyros.

I've found it's important to keep an open mind when auditioning styles for songs. As an example, I used a style called Jig for "Battle of New Orleans". It fit perfectly.

I found it. Thank you very much. I also found it handy to use the Music Finder Database to see what style Yamaha suggested.
