Just got off the phone with George at Kayes Music.

1st. off
this guy is one of the most informative and sharing guys I've ever talked to in 25 years of shopping for gear.

2nd.
he is the perfect example of what a music store owner should be

He demo'd this awesome machine over the phone for me. He sampled the super articulation sounds for me.

FOLKS this is a TYROS 2 in disguise !!!!

he pointed out some of the main differences between the 3000 and this new silver beauty.

I'm a current owner of the 3k and was looking for a backup but i think i will be buying a s900 and using the 3k for the backup

to top all this off I called george after hours not realizing he was closed, but he never once rushed me he answered everything plus more

George Thanks Again!!

ps.
has anyone created the music finder corrected names yet?

Mikey, Which kboard are you referring to?
I don't think anyone has had enough time with the s900 yet.

I was asking about the s900

i thought there might be someone out there who might be so intrigued to dive in and get it up there

I use that feature quite a bit and this would be a big factor in how soon i would gig with it

OK, like I said though, I don't think anyone has had one for very long. And they will probably be busy getting the new sounds, styles and other features first.
Just my opinion but I don't think there'll be an updated music finder list for a couple weeks maybe.

mikey_maestro,
Congrats! Just read in your other thread that you've gotten a S900.
Also, I was wrong about taking a few weeks for an updated music finder file.
Yamaha has released a new list and it can be found on the same site which featured the pod-cast and new demos. The UK PKO sitr.
I'm not sure how to insert links but you can scroll the older thread titles from the past week and find it.
Have fun,
Jim
