Hi Eric,

Thanks for the link to the Musik Messe Yamaha booth pics. BTW: does anyone know the keyboard (model) that's situated ABOVE the PSR2100 that the guy is playing in the first shot? Thanks.

Scott

The keyboard above the PSR2100 is the new PSR1K (I think that's the right model number). I reported on this Karaoke model at the NAMM show this past January. It will be around $400 - $500. It features a mic attached to a special clip (you can see this in the picture), a smart media card slot (you can see this on the back if you look very closely). It will have lyrics on the screen and a mic input, but no harmony. It has an accompanament section and a new feature which allows you to play anything on the keyboard and you can't play a wrong note if you try.

hi George. Thanks. I assume you're refering to the new PSR1100, slated for release this summer, right?

Interesting to note that the PSR1100 doesn't have the model number emblazened boldly on the back of the kb (side facing the audience). This has got to be the first arranger kb I've ever seen that doesn't (thankfully) include this. I can only hope that future keyboards will follow suit, as Yamaha certainly is'nt paying us to promote their products (free adverstising).
