I owned my sd1 for about two weeks. I 've been running into some problems when I am working with the sampler and when I assign drum2 to out 3, half of the drums from the preset styles disapear on me. Also if you want to make your own styles you have very limited options, for example there is no copy measure, delete measure, event editing. This keyboard is still very weak when it comes to making custom styles, not very good for a high-end arranger keyboard. They have gaven you extra outs but you can't use the onboard effects for the outs 3 and 4. The other thing that I am not impressed with is mic outs. If you want to use your mic through the L&R outs there is effects, but if you change the master volume of the keyboard it will change the level of your mic. If you want to use the mic out 1 or 2 you can't use the effect processor of the keyboard. When I am working with wave files and loading it to drum2 and using copying function in the pattern edit mode or generally woring with the sampler the keyboard gets confused and malfunctions. When loading a wave file from a floppy the keyboard froze on me a few times by now. These are some of the things that I foung out about the sd1. I hope they will make some changes to correct these problems.

I believe I have answers to some of the issues you are facing. I will get a response to you as soon as I can. The user guide I wrote (currently available from George Kaye) covers resolving some of the issues you mentioned above ... however, I will try and respond to these as soon as I get home this evening!

There is a few other things that I forgot to
add in my previos posting. When I am assigning drum2 of my custom style to out3,
not the general volume slider but the drum volume still controls the drum2 which is my
sampled drum loop and is already assigned to
out3 of the keyboard which shouldn't be like that. Also when you are using Harmony button for programs, if you are changing sounds while playine the keys and you have the Harmony button lit you will get a stuck note in the keyboard and as a result you will hear the stuck note playing nonestope in whick case you have to shut off the keyboard and reboot. One last thing, when I have some wave files loaded in Ram/Flash and go to Sampler mode to make some changes to some wave files and I come back to normal keyboar style mode I lose files in the Ram/Flash and I have to load them over and over and over again.

The stuff I mentioned above and also in my previos posting are things that really need your immediate attention and specially pattern editing capability of this keyboard needs to be boosted up. As far as the user drum kits are concerned again the reverb function in drum mixer page doesnot work at all. And why can't you make changes to each individual drum sound, they specified as groups: Kick group, Snare group, Hi hat Group etc....
