Has anyone in the USA received their Tyros as yet? I'm getting very conflicting and diverse shipping dates from Retailers, Internet Vendors, and users. Some say delivery by Nov 15th others say January 10, 2003?

I believe all of what you are getting is true and depends on when the retailer placed their order as to wheter or not they will get any in the first, second or third shipments or after.

Earliest date I have heard at this point is Dec. 7th and latest Jan. 10 for those in the second or 3rd shipments.

Argh! so no one has received theirs as yet.

Is the arranger keyboard market in the US that depressed that Yamaha doesn't even host road shows, clinics, or even send demo units to their US dealers? All the dealers I have called here in New York do not have demo's nor have they even heard of the Tyros.

Oh well, what the hell do I know about marketing anyway.

Actually I have seen more Yamaha demos and clinics then all the other companies combined. They have a demo guy on the west coast Blake DeAngelos (or just Angelos I can't recall) killer demos and he can jam on it. I was fortunate enough to get a couple hour one on one tutorial from him on my 9000. He was great.

I think compared to Europe, the arranger market in the US is depressed. They are not near as anal retentive about playing arrangers in Europe as we are here.
