Hello everyone.

Ive been hearing all the buzz on the Triton
but no retailer in my area has one yet let alone know what the features are. I do
know about a sampling option and great
new programs, but then again what synth doesnt, right? Could someone run down the info? Thanks in advance, the retailers down
here REALLY SUCK!!!

The Triton is a Trinity expanded in several areas, the most important being:
1) Polyphony. 62 notes instead of 32.
2) Sample ROM. 32 Mb instead of 24 Mb.
3) Real-time control knobs
4) Dual polyphonic arpeggiators
5) Stereo sampling onboard with 16 Mb of sample RAM (this is NOT an option).
6) WAY faster screen updates than the Trinity
7) Four individual line outputs, with very flexible routing abilities for the insert effects
8) User installed options (the Trinity's had to be done by a Korg tech)
9) General MIDI compatibility (the new Level 2 spec)
10) Direct MIDI file playback from the disk drive
11) Preset templates and drum patterns for the sequencer

Thanks Steve. I finally played around with
one in Sam Ash. It was pretty cool, but the
one thing that I didnt like about it was the
sample editor. This is where Kurzweil is still beating Korg to death.
