Paul, checkout http://www.karma-lab.com/ who have some good info and FAQs on the Karma. Basically the Karma is the Triton engine with some performance oriented control features. The Karma utilizes arpeggiator type features but take it to another level to provide user control that would not usually be possible with the keyboard alone. That is why Korg call it a performance synth.

That is why I suggested that it may be something that would interest you. Great for handson sound/music creation. It is not at all formula like an arranger but provides a lot of performance control that would not normally be possible playing a keyboard.

Actually Nigel, I always thought the KARMA is a rather complex keyboard?
