I am controlling the 03R/W through my digital Piano and want to know what mode is best for the sound ie global, multi. Any general effects or settings tips would be much appreciated. Finally, would you use PRO REC or Kid Nepro to purchase additional sounds?

I liked the Pro Rec sounds personally. I did purchase all sets. Personally, you'll need to ramp the reverb settings WAY back on the 03R/W. The factory settings are the definition of overkill.

When I use the module with a keyboard controller, I determine the Midi channel I want to use and set the Korg to receive on it. I don't use the module for exclusive sequencing so I don't need it to receive on all 16 Midi channels.

Don't know if this answered your question but that's how I use the 03R/W. Other people will use it differently I suppose.
