I've bought a second hand Technics KN2000, but I've got two little questions about it. Maybe anyone around here can help me out?

My first problem is that the messages that appear when I try to clear a song or a track in the sequencer are in French. However, when I switch the language option in the help menu from English to German, these messages appear in English. All other messages do appear in English.

The second question is a lot easier I think. It is possible to attach 2 footswitches to the keyboard, but the ones that Technics sells don't look very sturdy to me. So I was wondering, if it is possible to use a footswitch from e.g. Roland or Yamaha?

Congrats with your "new" KN2000.

Your language problem I'm not too sure about, but the helpmenus have
several languages just as you say.
As far as I know, the default operating system is English, but I might
of course be wrong here.
Maybe it's a bug in the OS, and updating the early KN's up to KN3000 is
done by replacing some "chips" inside the keyboard.
(The last version for KN2000 I think was v.7)

Yes, you can connect two footswitches, and even program what functions
for each you prefer.
The Technics SZ-P1 pedals is very good quality, I've used mine for many
models and years, but of course you can use other brands if you want,
just make sure to use the right on/off polarity (default=off), and the
right sized jackplug.
