Hi Blazer, I'm sorry but my reply is not about Motif 8 you're selling but about Tyros and Motif ES.

Are you planning to use 2 boards separately or combine them via midi? And for what purpose: live or studio recording or both?

I wonder if you can share your ideas/thoughts with us 'cause Motif ES is a hell of a keyboard and almost everyone has a big deal of an interest in the beast If you'd use it with Tyros, it would be very interesting to find out about your results.

Right now I'm using them separately in the studio. Really just trying to sort thing out right now. But I'd be more then happy to discuss this topic. See the thing is I'm also fortunate enough to own a Fantom FA-76, a Triton Studio, a Karma, and a Ketron SD-1. Can't keep 'em all though - since my wife helped me purchase the Tyros from George, I gotta sell something - probably more than one keyboard. I've been going through absolute AGONY the last few weeks trying to decide what to sell and what to keep! It's probably for the best though. I can't seem to efficiently utilize everything - probably me better off with some modules. Any helpful comments are welcome. By the way, I think you guys are the greatest and I really love this message board!

I know I've been a pig and I freely admit it. I got carried away! But seriously, which keyboard(s) would you keep and which would you sell and why? The Tyros and Motif ES stay put of course...

Well, this is simple for me: I would sell Motif 8 'cause you got Motif ES already.

You have awesome gear and if you wouldn't have Motifs and have to sell something, my next choice would be between Triton Studio or Karma (one of those).

It's interesting you have the Korg Triton Studio and the MO 8 and the ES 6. Does that mean the differences between these are vast enough to require you to hang on to them?

I'm about to sell my Triton Classic Pro for a MO ES 8. Will I be sorry?

Sound wise you'll be probably be stoked going from 32Mb rom to 175Mb on the ES (differences between Korg and Yami sounds not withstanding). Getting the hang of the Motif OS, well that's a bit of a challenge! (Just ask Terry and others). But once your up and running it's great!

As you all probably already know I have the ES8 and the Tyros and I must say they gel together well using them both on my latest cuts that I've posted. The Mo is a bit of a challenge but certainly workable, it just takes time to get the hang of it....how much I'm not sure because I do not fully grasp it yet.
