Thank you all for the kind words !

Scott:
I had the same concern about reflections, but if fact the room is not a square.... none of the walls is parallel to another one.
Just a nice coincedence as we moved to this fantastic house. (we did not build it)

I'll put some more pics to show this.
Right in the middle of the ceiling there is a huge skylight (probably wrong word?)

Oposite of the PC-position I have a door and 2 huge windows. (thermopane)
Two curtains

Eddie:
The orange walloutlets come from computer-cabinets in which computers, modems, routers etc. get the mains from. (max load 16 amps)

Many years of experimenting, thinking and making mistakes made this compact environment:
All within reach from my chair,
all signal routes prepared and out of sight.

Yes I served the army for about 2 years (1977-1979, learned morse very well... but left as soon as I could

Hi Roel,

Nice, neat site, with nice, neat pictures, of a nice, neat studio

I liked everything, but the overhead flouresnt lighting. Do you have any problems with speaker interference?

For me, it's just a personal thing, I like the more natural incandescent light.

Thanks for sharing your space,
Larry Hawk

Larry,

The light-tube is a modern HF (high frequency) type and adjustable from 5% to 100% (linear) .... not a single noise from either the electronics or tube : Perfect!

The 'chicks' ? ..... they do the background vocals

I didn't see any microphones for the chicks

Seriously, though, do you do any vocals?
I am looking for examples of hands free mics.
cheers
Eddie

Hello Roel
Nice Studio, I would however recommend that you fit a second light and fit Glare filters, (Like you see in offices) as you will then find that all your displays will become much more natural and pleasant, and also produce less eye strain. (Thus less chance of headaches)
Enjoy your music.

Bill,
I do have 2nd lights (ceiling 5 x halogen-bulbs), like the one right above the telephone/mixer : picture 'skylite...'
(click 'toon groter formaat')

During sunny periods the skylight-curtain is closed.

In the first place this room is my hobby-room, where it is possible to play music, compute, do repair-jobs ..... and sometimes do microphone-recordings.

Hi,

Just love the way you have arranged your studio. Gave me a lot of inspiring ideas since Im also trying to make a studio in my room. Very nice of you to put up the pics. All the best to you and may you be musically more and more inspired working in your excellent studio.
