There has been no word from anybody that attended NAMM (on this Forum or other Keyboard Forums) about the Lionstracs Mediastation. Also, there was NO press AT ALL about the Lionstracs. No peep, chirp, or even a burp! NOTHING!! Did they miss the show? Did they skip town?? Does anybody know ANYTHING regarding the Lionstracs being at NAMM??? Any rumors about what happened to them and why there was no "sighting" or press??? What gives?? If the Lionstracs people are reading these posts then they should explain themselves. If they don't make any reply as to what happened or explain themselves here after promoting their product on the SZ that will be a sign to us that they possibly were NEVER legit in the first place. Or a second scenario may be that the public response was so pathetically poor regarding their product that it took the wind out of their sails completely and they may end up possibly liquidating their stock and file for chapter 11 bankruptcy or whatever is Italy's equivalent of Chapter 11. I feel sorry for them that they received NO press at NAMM.

On the other hand if they WERE "fly by nighters" and never intended to show up at NAMM in the first place then they deserve the just reward of their scruples.

Best regards,
Mike

Soo...... not a sign !
Still a disappointment : The demo MP3's quality. (e.g. clicks in piano-samples)

Sure was alot of hype in that 4 page thread and the big promise of NAMM to be blown away and now nothing.....bad plan fellas, now I've even lost confidence that you guys are serious about the Mediastation. Too bad it might have been cool.

And while we're at it Open labs Eko needs to get up some sound samples, before I'd bother to go out and look at one of them too.

They were definitely at the show and had 2 mediastations on display (although one of them was always off). I stopped by on about 4 separate occasions but they always seemed to be having a kind of mini-conference around the product. On one occasion I even hovered around for about 5-10 minutes and still nobody noticed me. In fact the only time I heard the product make any sound was when I saw the clip they shot for NAMM TV.

http://www.linuxsampler.org -- this is Mediastation's sound engine (sbenno is one of it developers). Last activity there was 18 jan 2004. But no one word about Mediastation or NAMM.

Clicks at note cancellings they supress several days ago but still they can't play note endings from gigasamples.

Last letter from Benno to their development maillist was from 10 jan 2004, i.e. before NAMM (http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=3726093&forum_id=12792). He discuss using Linuxsampler as VSTi via ethernet network from VSTi-host running at Windows computer. No one word about Mediastation or NAMM.

It is very strange.

They was at NAMM! Thank you, Cris A!

I am still interested in Mediastation. This is definitely revolution in arrangers. I am so sorry they have no press at all...
