I called the Yamaha office in California and was told by there customer service department that the Tyros will be in the states by the middle of November. The regional rep for Florida told the local store manager to expect it by the end of this month.

Myronro: Unless you know something I don't or Yamaha USA (California) just got news from Japan within the last 3 hours, I wouldn't count on it. I spoke with Steve Deming, the head guy of Yamaha USA's Customer Service & Tech support dept, earlier today as well, and he told me that though he too hoped the Tyros would be arriving by mid Novemeber, there were no guarantees. Mr Deming told me that the delay is due to 'production' issues. He wouldn't reveal to me what these issues were, but I speculate that Yamaha may have discovered some kind minor glitch (bug?) in the ones shipped to Europe, and wanted to correct these before shipping more out. Of course, I want to re-interate that this is ONLY speculation on my part, and may not be the reason at all. The bottom line is that from what I got from Mr Deming, even Yamaha USA still doesn't know exactly WHEN they will be receiving Tyros here in the USA.
