The Tyros has another side to it than bread and butter sounds, ie., Acoustic sounds. Here is a song called "Moon And Back" that has a sorta science fiction sound to it. This is strictly the Tyros you hear. I am playing an instrument in this song too. Can you guess which one and [which part]?

The first link is a standard .mp3 file with a VBR high bit rate encoding to it that measures in at a smidgen over 10 mb's. The second link is an .mp3PRO Version of the same file. It is 2.5 mb's in size yet retains much of the quality of the larger file. Yada Yada Yada! Without further ado: --- Btw, fasten your seatbelts! Here is:

Moon And Back

Moon And Back mp3PRO Version

Running time for the song is: 5:20.

When I talk of Midi implementation, you will experience it firsthand in this song. I am not only playing in this song but also doing realtime Voice/ReVoicing of parts whilst the song is playing and being recorded at the same time. Thanks to the Tyros for providing users with excellent Midi implementation and integration within the Tyros Sequencer and Mixer. Thanks also to Yamaha for putting some great Synth sounds in the Tyros.

Best regards,
Mike

Fantastic. I loved it. For everyone's information, "To the moon and back" is by the band "Savage Garden".

What Style did you use?

You said "When I talk of Midi implementation, you will experience it firsthand in this song." - which parts of the performance do you mean?

Actually it would be very instructive if you would describe step-by-step the whole performance (styles, sounds, effects) and recording/sequencing that you went through for this piece.

Thanks for the great music.

Greetings jeremy. I am glad you liked the song. I did not use any Style. This is a Midi file which I "enhanced" by doing realtime Voicing/Re-Voicing during recording. I also played an instrument on top of the Midi whilst recording it.

I wanted to show the Tyros' other side if you will, - the Synth side. Most people realize the Tyros has good bread and butter sounds, that is, "Acoustic sounds", eg., Piano, Guitar, Woodwinds, etc., but I would guess many more people don't realize the Tyros has great Synth sound capability too.

Btw, I Voiced/Re-Voiced the main Lead melody Voice and also revoiced one of the String tracks - (to the Panel "Strings" voice). I did some other odds and ends too plus as I stated earlier, I played an instrument myself on top while recording the song to my PC.

Best regards,
Mike
