I am thinking of purchasing the Korg Tr Rack Unit.

Does this Unit have an onboard 16 track sequencer?

No it doesn't. I own one and I use it with Cubase. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that neither Korg nor Steinberg have bothered to make studio drivers for Cubase.

Thanks for your response on my question. I have found generally favorable reviews of the TR, so I bought it from musicians friend yesterday.

The main complaint seems to be that the user interface is a bit klunky and that Korg should have put in a speed dial. Also no CuBase support...yet.

Yeah well, its always something. I can do all my combo setups at home and have them ready to go when I play live. So, no big deal.

Nobody has really complained about the sounds. Some have said that some of the sounds are thin but that is to be expected.

I have 7 synths and between them I am able to get what I need. It beats having to depend on a bunch of flaky musicians...me and you excluded of course! Ha Ha.

Did you ever manage to find a studio driver for cubase to control your TR-Rack?

I am trying to use the TR-Rack without a great deal of success with cubase.
