This post is for everyone who may wish upgrade their SD-1 in the future and maybe for Ketron to gain some ideas.

What would you like to see and have in the new keyboard Ketron will make such as different arrangement of the placement of buttons - roatating dial like the Roland XP-80 - Different screen look . ect..

Get your ideas out so maybe a Super Keyboard can be created

P.S. When does Ketron think of releasing a new Keyboard that will be in the SD-1 arena

I think you will not see a replacement for the SD1 until 2004 .
Ketron does have some new styles and sounds available .


I think the next generation of keyboard will have nicer screen (tilt,color), help screen (manual stored on the hard drive) , scroll notation ,larger hard drive to store additional sound library ,improved vocal sampling (.wav sync) , more assignable outputs and usb/firewire ( just to name a few) .

I think the drum remix on the XD series is cool , soI am certain you see more of that as well .

The Sd1 is still a great sounding keyboard IMHO . dano
