Thanks Gary, but that's not the problem because as you know, every time you restart the Tyros, it resets all the settings, and nevertheless, even with the compressor and noisegate reset to their on position, I still get the noise.
Secondly, noise gate wouldn't help me, bc when my voice is above the threshold, the noise would seep through ... and that noise is loud enough to be noticed even through the music and voice.
Thanks anyway, Chony

Chony, When all else fails, do a system reset through the functions page. If this doesn't solve the problem, then the noise could be coming either from the mic or the cable--Try switching both and let us know what happens. You say the noise goes away when you mute the mic, therefore, it's not something within your amp hookup. But, just to be on the safe side, disconnect everything from the keyboard, including the sound system, them plug your headphones into the keyboard and listen for the white noise. If it's still present, unlplug the mic, turn the keyboard volume up and see if it is still there. If it is, they the problem may be with one of the internal boards. If this is the case, it would require a board change, which can be difficult and expensive. Good Luck, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy
