Is $1,395.00 a good price for this keyboard? I saw one listed on ebay with the buy it now option for this price. The guy claims you're getting a good deal because the keyboard retails for $3,000.00 I've never played one of these, nor have I ever seen what they go for...

Squeak, check with George Kay. My guess is that this is not so great of a price. I tink that he closed these out brand new for less, but I'm not sure. I am sure that it is no deal of the century and not worth buying on price alone.

Squeak,
the VA3 was originally $1395.00 and at it'
s final days I sold them for $895.00. The VA5 was $1595.00 when we last sold them and I have a used one for $895.00. The VA5 has 128 note polyphony like the VA7 and only doesn't have a zip drive and the sampler function of the VA7. VA7's are still available new from Roland and I sell them new for $1595.00.
The VA3 only had 64 voice polyphony, not the 128 as in the VA5 and VA7. The piano sound in the VA3 is not nearly the quality of the Piano in the VA5 and VA7. The display on the VA3 is also a touch screen but the color is Grey as opposed to the nicer blue on the VA5 and VA7 and finally, the speakers in the VA3 are not as powerful as the VA5 and VA7.

lucksorry,
i forgot to mention george. he's the man
to talk to about this. that's where i got my
va 76. so far its been great on stage, still use the korg styles as a basis then add the roland styles and my own for a change. some people don't like it for live use, but i haven't had a problem "yet". the roland are
not as popular as yamaha, from what i see
on the forums. anyway good and do
your research.
