I've met more drummers that swear they were the original player with the Comets in their hayday. Wonder what's the deal with that?

Oh well, the Bill Haley gig is off...

What is it with promoters who book you when they find out you have the date open, then call a week later and offer you half the money you agreed upon in the first place.

Talk about balls...

Sorry for the false alarm..

Maybe they were and the Comets just went through lots of drummers. I've been in a band that had many drummers. That's why I was so amused the first time I saw Spinal Tap with drummers self destructing. I know how that feels !!!!!

What do you call a guy that hangs around with musicians ?

A drummer ...

All drummer jokes aside, the drummer ( Jim Shaw ) in the band I am playing in now is not only a solid player but is a great guy that I have known for many years. He also uses a Roland V-Drums kit which means his volume is completely controllable which makes for an ideal stage sound. Technology can be a great thing.
