I have for a long time been using the following Softsynths:..Yamaha XG50 & Roland VCS88. These are purely used as WAV Drivers to improve the sound from my basic 16bit Creative sound card (When not using Midi). Both of the above work very well when playing back from BIAB v9, Cubase VST v5. & Cakewalk v9.
The question is, having now installed Windows XP OS neither of these softsynths work on XP. So is there another softsynth (Hopefully Freeware) that I can use instead. keeping in mind that its just its WAV conversion driver that I will be using.
