400 people??? what kind of setting DNJ? Were you playing CD's or singing and playing on your own...I have a small Christmas party (100 people) next week in a small banquet hall and am just bringing the Ev's with no sub. (I'll be performing with the P-80 and PSR-2000, then DJing later). I have a 600-700 people Corporate Party in early January. It's a Larger banquet hall, so my guess is another EV(3) and my Mackie Sub. Ya think that will do? I mean, the dance floor is what needs to be covered, not the entire hall.....Which leads to my next question, what are your thoughts on sound coverage..In a banquet hall setting, one could argue that 2 speakers and a sub would be sufficient regardless of the other factors, because all that really matters is the dance area right? people in their seats don't want to be blown away by the music when they're conversing...as long as they can hear announcements or speakers during presentations etc, as long as the dance floor rocks, that is key...any thoughts?
hey Boo.....Go for it...you'll love em...You won't regret it...Brian
