I'm using my Korg Trinity with a Korg X5. I want to use the Trinity as a tone generator and the X5 as a second keyboard using the sounds of the Trinity. I have successfully made a combination on the Trinity where some sounds are played with the Trinity and some sounds with the X5. The global midi channel on the Trinity is channel 1 and the global midi channel on the X5 is channel 2. In my combination I have arranged that the sounds that a want to play through the Trinity are on midi-channel 1 and those which I want to play on the X5 are on midi-channel 2. The global midi-channel on the X5 is 2. My problem is that I'm not able to use the sustain pedal (which is connected to the Trinity) on the sounds that a want to play with the X5. The only way I can do this is to put the global midi-channel from the Trinity and the X5 on channel 1 and playing all sounds via midi-channel 1. But then I can't play different sounds on the Trinity and the X5.
All global settings on the X5 appears to be right.

The Trinity guide says that all midi-messages are sent through the midi-channel which is set in the combination. But apparently the midi-messages are only sent through the global midi-channel of the Trinity.

Can anyone help me with this?
