I have discovered an enherant problem with the sustain/release pedal. I am told I am the first person to have discovered this problem with the Triton.
Please e-mail me if you know anything about this or if you have the same problem.
Problem: Every sound with a long decay programed into it will not die out when using the sustain pedal between chords. For example: 1. play legato strings #3. Play a chord, then let go. It takes about 3 seconds for the notes to go away. Now, play a chord, hold down the sustain pedal. Take your hands off the keyboard. Now let up the pedal and depress it emediately again. The string sound will not totally decay for 15 seconds. So, when you are playing a pad and move between chords, the previous sound will keep sounding long after it's programed release time.
If a sound has a release/sustain time of 5 seconds when you take your hand off the keys, then it should have the same time when you let up the damper and put it down again. It does not do this. How can I be the only one to have noticed this. The synth is not useable to me. Brand new. Triton Pro. 3 weeks old. Never been out of the studio.
Korg has acknowledged the problem. If you have the same problem please e-mail Korg.
