1. Does anybody have more infos/details regarding of Wersi Abacus vs. Gem Genesys ???

My second question here on below, ie.

2. Gem's new Superpiano seems to have whole 320 voices polyphony. How this is possible, ie exist there f.ex. totals 5 x 64 voices
sound generators connected paraller or how such HARDWARE polyphone voice amount can be
pushed up like Gem superpiano ???

Hi!
I using the Abacus for 11 months now
6 nights a week ,no problems!
It is based on a Windows PC with DSP hardware for sound creation and a multitude of big programmable pushbuttons and sliders and a big color touch screen. The sound is huge and true to life ,sounds are kept on disk and are 100s of Mbytes.I use normal Windows programs for MIDI and Audio Sequencing,Wave Editing,MP3 creation and playback,CD writing etc.I also have installed the Styleworks program so I can convert all style formats but mainly I convert MIDI files to Style.Number of styles ,SMFs and Waves are only limited by hard disk space which is a standard 40Gb .I have also a second Hard Disk (copy) just in case but i never used it.
The whole thing is software upgradeable -CD ROM-and the new version 4 allows to use Gigasmpler(!) and Native Instruments as sound sources. In a few words:
I dont thing there is something that another keyboard can do that the Abacus can not.
And to my audiences ears (that includes a lot of musicians from all over the world)
it sounds fantastic!

The Wersi Abacus has come on leaps and bounds since I first viewed a prototype at Brett Wales's house (he is a Wesi demonstrator). Personally I prefer Genesys and it's far cheaper, but the Abacus is definitely a contender along with Genesys, Tyros, SD1 etc. My mate uses Abacus and has latest software update, there are some superb samples you can get for it but I'm not keen on Wersi styles.

Since you have the genesys + Sd1 , don't you think that the guitar imulations are just as good as what everyone is talking about with the Unplugged guitar styles of the Tyro's + Genesys . Isolate the accompianment of the very 1st SD1 style (pub song) and the guitar parts are excellent IMHO .
When I am demonstrationg the Sd1 at the trade shows , the guitar imulation is what really catches the ear . What do you think ?

Dan I totally agree with you. All guitar parts and sounds on SD1 are excellent. I've edited loads of styles just to make the guitar parts more upfront and in your face.
