I recently purchased a Digitech Vocalist VR on E-bay. I got it working Ok. VERY NICE clean sound compared to the vocalizer output on my SD-1. (I admit-I may have had the SD-1 vocalizer adjusted incorrectly). Recently, Uncle Dave said-
"Another cool way to control the harmonies is with a standard volume pedal. That way you can "blend in" the ammount of harmony, instead of just having a simple on/off."
My question-How do you connect the volume pedal between the output of the Vocalizer and an amp for harmony-and yet maintain normal vocal volume when your harmony is 'turned down"? At present, my Sennheiser mike is plugged into the Vocalizer and the left main (mono)output of the Vocalizer is plugged into the pa,Midi out of the piano to midi in on the Vocalizer-thats it!!-
My second question (cause I don't have any room on the top of the SD-1 for the Vocalizer)-Is the optional FS300 Digitech footswitch the only footswitch to use for harmony off/on control? - or can anyone suggest a more basic footswitch to use for this one function. I know that the FS300 will control 3 things-but I would just like a single switch to control this one function.
