Southern Comfort- I've run out of exp slots thanks to the piano and studio essentials boards. This is a big limitation of the Triton and very short sighted of Korg to only provide 2 slots!!!! I would add the new dance/synthe board in a jiffy if I had more space! Anyway now to your query-
DON'T AND I REPEAT DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR HARD EARN'T CASH ON THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!!
You'd be better off finding some loops on a CD and doing some of your own sampling.
It's not that the loops are bad (they aren't!). It's just that for the money you only get 20 songs in the sequencer filled with loops that might only be suitable for a very small percentage of the music you create. They are geared towards rap/hip hop type sounds as well as your latin and jazz styles but for techno/jungle/house/dance- FORGET IT!!!!
Who in there right mind would pay this money for 'just a few loops????' I ask.
Southern Comfort- check out the dance/synthe board- this is awesome with some trully inspirational combinations!!!! I'd like to eventually buy this board even if I have to swap it with one of the other boards when I need it!!!! It's great.
However, remember just because I think the loops board is poxy doesn't automatically mean you can't like it either- It might be just the thing you want! But I seriously doubt it!!!!
IMHO the guys at Korg who designed this largely useless board were on something that's for sure??????????? Cheers.
