I've always wondered why I have never seen a headset that was both monitor and mic made for vocal applications. They have existed for phones for year. Looking around tonight I found that Shure is coming out with such a device for $189. I think it would be ideal to use with my T2 out on a job I wouldn't need to bring along any speakers for a monitor or worry about the live mix being real close to me. What do you think? Has anybody seen anything similar from other manufacutures?

Unless this unit could be placed behind the back of the head instead as the picture shows it worn on the top, I don't think my customers who perform on stage will like this unit. Since headworn wireless systems have all changed to the behind the ears and back of the head design, entertainers have switched to this system, but before that, unless you had to wear headphones, most rejected this style because of the look on stage.
