Hello my name is Stamatis.
I play Greek music.
It is the first time that I ask something on this forum.
I Have a problem. I would like to buy a new keyboard but I don't know wich. Ihave a old geberalmusic CD30.

My choice is between GEMWK8 or YAMAHA PSR 9000 or TECHNICS KN 6500 or KETRON X1.

Can anybody give me informations about:
- sound quality?
- quality of styles?
- expandability?
- reliability?
- possibility for arabic scales, arabic soungs?

I have heard that there are many technical problems with the GEM WK8. Is it true?

I would like to have opinions from people that use these instruments because it is impossible to have a sincere opinion from the salesmen.

THANK YOU.

WOW! Nice choices!
I too would be interested in someone who played them all and can fairly appraise them.
I just bought the psr9000 and to me sounds are good, and I've downloaded thousands of styles from yahoo's psr styles group ... I think I saw Greek styles on it, if I can remember... check out that group and post your question too... and forums of the other brands... PSR group has conversions of korg,x1,technics, for psr9000 too.

Check out this psr site for styles archive... which has styles you want for free. http://www.spectromagic.com/cgi-bin/ftp.cgi

Also, do a google search on all of them and find reviews of all of them!

It would be cool to have some members here that have owned all of them to give review!

Thank you rgtaa for your answer.
I have listen the PSR 9000 and I think too that his sounds are very beautiful.
I just want to have informations about how are considered the others kb (GEM, Technics, Ketron) by musicians.
For example, here in Brussel, is it very difficult to find a GEM WK8 or a Technics.
This is not a problem with the Yamaha or Roland.
So it not ease for me to have my own opinion.

Anyway, thank you for the adresses where I can find PSR styles if I buy the PSR9000.

STAM.
