I did play the Sd5 today and here's what I can tell you.
The SD5 is constructed just like the Solton MS60, same size and roughly same weight. The case is metal, with nice solid end caps... no plastic.
The action has the same feel as the SD1 & Korg PA series keyboards.Heavier than the Tyros 2 in imo.
All the syles are all very good, however, however when listening to the "unplugged" styles, I personally would choose a "folk guitar" sound vs.the guitar sound choices Ketron has made from the factory. I did hear some new styles, but many on the SD5 are combined from the XD9 and SD1 keyboards respectively.
This keyboard sounds like a SD1plus and the speakers on board are very loud. Must be the same type speakers used in the MS60 series...
maybe a little better.
The SD5 is designed with some very cool features. The RIFF mode is absolutely the coolest thing. Just fill in to the Riff variation and the keyboard goes into pianist mode and allows you to improvise , when your done, you fill back into a variation...
That's it for now.... gotta run
Selecting styles is easier with the SD5. Ketron has them located right underneath the screen
