For a long time i have been looking fore
a new keyboard , i played for many years on
Technics keyboard and was always pleased with them (easy to use ,fine sound etc)
I played on the KN7000 and i found it a smal improvement to the KN6 i now played
with a little tweaking you can make the same sound. Also i play on the SD1 nice sound but difficult to work with and finally i played on the Tyros and i was not impressed ! But ,i have heard it before on a Demo tour and then it sounding Great !?
After a few weeks thinking i called my local musicshop to order a KN7000 , he asked me if i was sure about it ? ?
No i wasn,t
,so he give me the tyros that he had for demonstration for the weekend to try it out
That was the past weekend and i finaly decided to order the tyros.
What a terriffic keyboard , what a sound !
When you set the EQ to youre needs it rocks you !
I hope to get the tyros ASAP then i am a Yammie.
Now i have a lot of technics(5000) styles that i want to convert to the yam styles
Does some body know some good results of this ?

Regards
Arno

I have the KN6000 and I feel exactly like you. The KN7000 it's a great keyboard but for the long time user of KN like us noting very new. It's the same as KN6000 with a new look, a USB, A SD card, a video output.
But the styles is the same. I try it for 2 hours and i don't want it.

I had the KN2000, KN5000, KN6000.... and now I'm thinking of Yamaha... I play with a SD1 .. good but not for me.

I don't have the chance to see the Tyros, I think for now is not avail. in Canada ???

KN7000 is a great keyboard but if I change I will not go to Technics... I need someting different !

EMC styleworks looks pretty cool and can come in very handy, while saving a lot of time. One problem, this year I converted to the Mac platform. Do you know of any good conversion software for this?
Thanks, Lou

Lou,
A PC?
Terry

Sorry don't follow Mac stuff....I've gone a dozen times to buy a Mac and each time over the years either I or the salesman talks me out of it. They're cool....but frankly I have never seen enough difference in any way to make the change. Not to mention the rebuying of the peripherals and software.

Now their giant monitor is very cool, but cost more than my P4 PC entire setup w/ monitor did. Their screen images are beautiful though, the best I've seen.

HI: Arno
If you want the KN5000 styles you can join the Yamaha PSR Styles-Group
it is free and so are the styles, they have thousands of converted
styles for Yamaha Keyboards,
including the KN5000.
If you want the KN5000 that have 4 variations just click on the (Links) left side
of page.
Then click on the link under # 1 PSR Styles Vault Archive, then click on
Brian Miles (210) it's the top one. Scroll down the page till you come to
the KN5Vol-(4 variation)zip & download them.
All of these styles are converted to Yamaha, & they work great.
You need to do some tweaking for your own liking but that's a small
price to pay, & besides every one likes something a little different.

Here is the Link to the Styles Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yamaha-psr-styles/

I changed from Technics to Yamaha just about 2yrs. ago, and I haven't
been sorry yet.
Have fun with the Yamaha, & all of the new Free Styles.
Enjoying the 9000 PRO
